Jon Shanahan
President & CEO
As founder of Businessolver and a member of the executive management team, Jon is responsible for the company’s overall strategic direction and corporate growth. Prior to Businessolver, he was Vice President of Consulting Services for Holmes, Murphy & Associates. He has experience working in several human resources and healthcare-focused capacities, including IBM as a Vendor Certification Analyst and at a leading Iowa-based healthcare organization as Director of Operations. Jon earned a BA in Psychology and Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and an MS in Industrial Relations from Iowa State University. He has a Certificate in Human Resources-related law through Drake University and the Professional in Human Resources designation from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Jon also participates on the National Human Resources Board for the Association of General Contractors of America.
Pete Mondloch
Senior Vice President of Information Technology
With more than 18 years in the Information Technology industry, Pete started his career with mainframe and database systems, and then migrated to developing client/server applications for a claims processing system. For the past eight years, Pete has focused on web-based applications and developing the web architecture that has standardized Businessolver’s highly scalable, secure and stable benefits administration system. Pete graduated from Grand View College with a BA in Applied Computer Science.
Rae Shanahan
Senior Vice President of Operations
Rae brings multiple experiences from the human resources, sales and customer service perspectives to her role as Senior Vice President of Operations at Businessolver. Before joining Businessolver, she spent three years as Major Accounts District Manager for ADP, providing outsourcing and technology solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. Prior to that, Rae worked for eight years in human resources for Maytag Corporation where she was involved in recruiting, compensation, organizational development and employee training. Rae graduated from Simpson College with a BA in Business Management and a minor in Communications.
Loren Brockhouse
Vice President of North American Sales
Loren brings 20 years of sales and HR outsourcing industry experience to Businessolver. Building on several years of sales experience with ADP, Loren’s last role was Division Vice President of Sales where he managed a large staff of associates and developed strategic plans for growth. He has his SPHR and Coaching Certification. Loren graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Finance and received his MBA from Northern Illinois University.
Brooke Bartholomay Knight
Vice President of Client Services
Brooke has nearly 15 years of experience managing the delivery of benefits outsourcing services and client service management. She spent nearly a decade focused on benefits outsourcing with Affiliated Computer Services, a Xerox company focused on business process outsourcing, and – most recently – four years honing her client services management skills at Hewlett Packard’s ExcellerateHRO where she managed a team of more than 200 customer service and delivery professionals supporting the Defined Benefits and Health & Welfare requirements of mid- to large-sized clients. Brooke graduated from Susquehanna University with a BA in English.
Tom Pohl
Vice President of Information Technology Systems
Tom was an original developer of the Benefitsolver system. Since its creation in 2002, Tom has focused on the development and management of web architecture and production systems. His work has galvanized the Benefitsolver system as a leader in the HR benefits outsourcing arena. Prior to joining Businessolver, Tom put his BS in Computer of Engineering to work at IBM, Principal Financial Group and as a consultant.
Liz Salaba
Vice President of Business Excellence
Liz spent nearly 25 years with Principal Financial Group in a variety of roles focused on IT and operational excellence. She puts her wealth of experience to work with Businessolver’s Business Excellence team that is focused on continuous improvement, innovation of process performance and employee engagement. Liz received her BA in Marketing and Management from Loras College and is PMP certified.
