A focus on managing trust.
We’ve got an eye-opener for you: in the United States, the average total cost per breach was a healthy $5.5 million, with an average cost of $194 per affected record. That was as of 2011’s US Cost of a Data Breach study by Symantec. But that number doesn’t include the brand damage done, or the impact a breach may have on employee trust.
“You’re planning to put a lot of sensitive information in the hands of a benefits administration partner – information that your employees trust you’re protecting,” said Businessolver Senior Vice President of Information Technology Pete Mondloch. “If a security breach occurs it can have a significant impact on your relationship with employees. We understand that and do everything in our power to prevent a breach in trust.”
