The Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Foundation has declared November 13, 2019 #WorldKindnessDay.

skechers-walkThe RAK Foundation is a small nonprofit that invests resources into making kindness the norm. They create a common language between schools, work and home rooted in the belief that all people can connect through kindness and that kindness can be taught.

The Businessolver Foundation believes in the mission of the RAK Foundation and incorporates kindness into everything we do and support. We believe a world filled with kindness leads to a more productive work environment and gives people the skills they need to live more successful and productive lives.  This philosophy is part of the Businessolver culture and something we are proud to implement into our everyday work lives.

Three Ways We Live #WorldKindnessDay at Businessolver

Practice Empathy – We have all heard the phrase, “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes”, but how many times a day do you put that into practice. Being empathetic means truly listening to someone without judgement and critiques and using reflection instead of trying to find a solution. At Businessolver, we believe empathy is at the core of everything we do and how we do it. We exercise it with each other as co-workers and it is a must when interacting with our clients. As the saying goes, “a little kindness goes a long way!”

Assume Positive Intent – We all mess up from time to time. However, isn’t it funny how we sometimes judge people harshly for their simple mistakes. Most, if not all people, do not want to perform poorly. If someone slips up, try asking how you can help rather than judge, criticize or speak ill about that person.  A simple act of kindness can turn a sticky situation into an awesome demonstration of teamwork.

Give Back – Businessolver employees give back through their time, talents and dollars every day.  Since 2016, the Businessolver Foundation has donated over a million dollars to organizations worldwide and our employees have donated over $80,000 and given over 5,000 volunteer hours.  This is a true testament to our culture of kindness and giving.

We hope you will join Businessolver in celebrating #WorldKindnessDay and take a moment or two out of your day to do something kind for your friends, co-workers, family and even strangers.  I promise it will feel great!
