HR technology leader’s Veterans Day fundraising campaign yields more than $60,000 to fund care, feeding, and training for three service dogs
WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (December 9, 2021)—Businessolver, a leader in SaaS-based benefits technology and services, today announced that the results of its Veterans Day fundraising campaign yielded more than $60,000 to benefit the Puppy Jake Foundation. The funds raised by the campaign will be used to fund the care, feeding, and training for three service dogs that will be homed to veterans in need.
Businessolver has deep roots in charitable giving, with “Give Back” as one of the organization’s core value pillars supporting its “Technology with Heart” motto. The Businessolver Foundation, launched in 2016 as the company’s philanthropic arm, has to date donated more than $1 million in support of its mission to positively impact people and communities where its employees and clients work and live.
During November, the Businessolver Foundation rallied Businessolver employees to donate to five of their colleagues who’d been tapped as veteran ambassadors. Each ambassador was a spokesperson in support of their branch of the U.S. military, lobbying their coworkers to raise the most money during the month-long campaign.
More than 200 Solvers donated at total of $30,933. The Businessolver Foundation matched their generosity, bringing the total donation for Puppy Jake Foundation to $61,866.
“The giving spirit of our Solvers never ceases to amaze and inspire me,” said Businessolver CEO and President Jon Shanahan. “I’m touched by their generosity to support the Puppy Jake Foundation and grateful to the Businessolver Foundation team for their commitment to helping us live our organization’s values year-round.”
Businessolver’s employee ambassador representing the U.S. Navy won the bragging rights for raising the highest amount among her fellow servicemembers. However, the real winners are the three veterans who will soon receive service puppies from Puppy Jake Foundation as a result of the campaign.
“What an amazing gift,” said Puppy Jake Foundation Founder and CEO Becky Beach. “We are blessed to now be able to fully fund three service dogs with this donation. On behalf of everyone with Puppy Jake Foundation, a huge thank you to Businessolver.”
