Businessolverโ€™s DEIB Belongings Collective shares their perspectives about PRIDE and why inclusion is an important part of their experience in and outside of the workplace

June is PRIDE Month, a time dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, honoring its history, and advocating for equality and inclusion. At Businessolver, we believe that every employee deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued for who they are. Our DEIB Belongings Collective is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. As we celebrate PRIDE Month, we asked our team members to share what PRIDE means to them and why inclusion is vital in the workplace.

Our Solvers share their perspective on what PRIDE and inclusion mean to them.

PRIDE means visibility and authenticity

“Pride means visibility. I spent the first 27 years of my life suppressing parts of myself in order to make people around me feel comfortable. I have since learned that pride is about visibility – it’s about seeing others as they truly are and also being willing to show others your true self. It is a kindness to give people the opportunity to accept your authentic self. Living as your authentic self allows people to accept you and to create the sense of belonging that we all deserve.”

โ€“ Kelsey Stefani, Answer Bar Director

“PRIDE Month is a celebration of authenticity and love. It’s a time to honor the courage of those who fought for equality, embrace our true selves, and uplift the voices of the LGBTQ+ community. For me, it’s a reminder that love knows no boundaries and that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and respected.”

โ€“ Joe Garcia Rocha, Product Manager

“To me, it means reveling in the comfort of your SOUL. Allowing the world to know that you choose to be who you are, and love every minute of it. No matter what other people feel, think, say, or do, it’s about you.”

โ€“ Tralisa Osorio, Partner Integrations Lead, Benefits Innovation Group

Community Matters

“For me, PRIDE is family. It is a warm hug when you may need it most. It means you are seen and you are valid.”

โ€“ Kayla Zuromski, Member Services Advocate

“To me, PRIDE is having a great amount of respect and satisfaction for yourself or another. In regards to DEIB, I am a proud ally to anyone who is brave enough to be unapologetically themselves. It takes courage to speak up for who you are or to speak up for others who may not have a voice.”

โ€“ Anna Brown, Collaboration Partner

“I have tremendous pride in my family; particularly my son who serves to protect the rights of all citizens.”

โ€“ Derrick Barker, CFO

The Importance of Inclusion in the Workplace

Inclusion isn’t just a policy or a program; it’s a fundamental value that shapes our culture and guides our actions. When we embrace diversity and foster a sense of belonging, we create an environment where everyone can perform at their best. This not only benefits our employees but also drives innovation, improves decision-making, and enhances our overall performance as a company.

As we celebrate PRIDE Month, let’s commit to being allies and advocates for the LGBTQ+ community. Let’s ensure that everyone at Businessolver feels respected, valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves. Together, we can build a workplace where diversity thrives, and inclusion is the norm.

Happy PRIDE Month!
