The HR technology leader’s philanthropic foundation helps grant wishes with Make-A-Wish for the sixth year running.

WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (Sept. 7, 2022)Businessolver®, a leader in Saas-based benefits technology and services, today announced the Businessolver Foundation, through a tremendous effort by its Businessolver employees, raised over $88,000 for Make-A-Wish.

“People are at the center of everything we do at Businessolver,” said Jon Shanahan, Businessolver President and Chief Executive Officer. “One of our core values at Businessolver is ‘give back’ and our focus through the Businessolver Foundation enables us to work with philanthropic organizations in the communities in which we live and work to cultivate intentional partnerships. Solver Nation took that to heart in their fundraising efforts to make these wishes come true as our team has a strong desire to deliver care, resources, and support to those in need.”

A fully remote workforce, Businessolver follows a Workspace Anywhere philosophy that allows employees to work from the location that is the best fit for them. In an effort to celebrate this part of their culture, Businessolver used the Make-A-Wish campaign to create healthy competition across three regional chapters: West, Central and East, each competing against each other to raise money for the wishes. Through the month of July, Solvers across the U.S. ran creative events like dance-offs, comedy happy hours and more to raise awareness of the overall campaign and drive fundraising efforts.

“Businessolver continues to bring awareness to our mission to grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses, and helps support our local chapters nationwide,” said Amanda Garcia, External Events Manager at Make-A-Wish America. “The work at Make-A-Wish is only possible with the assistance of proud partners like Businessolver. Their support directly, immediately, and positively impacts a child’s medical journey through the power of a wish.”

Businessolver employees’ fundraising efforts will enable Make-A-Wish to grant several life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. Through the partnership with Make-A-Wish, Businessolver will have helped grant over 18 wishes since 2016.

Honoring Businessolver’s mission to create Technology with Heart, the Foundation aims to support individuals’ mental well-being, educational aspirations, and equity within their respective communities. Since 2016, the Businessolver Foundation has donated more than $1 million to charitable organizations and logged thousands of volunteer hours across the U.S. The Foundation impacts the lives of employees, clients, and communities through philanthropic efforts focused on three pillars of giving: Mental Health; STEM and Career Education; and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
